Transfers to Cotton Dark Colored T-shirts
Important: For best results, use
100% cotton t-shirts, as the dye in
a 50/50 blend shirt, may bleed back
into the image after transferring.
1. Printing Your Transfer
- Select your image (do NOT reverse)
- Fan the paper all four sides before placing in the printer. Place the
paper in the print tray with the printable surface (blank side) loaded
correctly for your printer.
- After printing, trim away unprinted area around your image.
2. Using Heat Press
- Preheat press to 375 F. 390 for Sublimation inks.
- Place the garment onto press pad.
- Remove liner from back of printed transfer
- Place printed transfer onto the garment with the print side up and the
parchment
paper on top of the transfer paper.
- Press at 375* F. 390* F for 20 seconds for sublimation inks.
- Transfer only to 100% cotton for sublimation transfers
- Let cool for 1-2 minutes before peeling parchment paper.
3. Washing and Drying Instructions
- Turn the T-shirt inside out and wash on cold setting. DO not use HOT
water when washing.
- Use mild detergent for best results and DO NOT use fabric softeners.
- DO NOT use bleach. Remove promptly from the washer, as colors may bleed
if left too long in the washer.
- Dry on the LOWEST temperature setting. Add towels to improve drying.
- DO NOT use fabric softener sheets when drying
Do not stretch the transferred image or the t-shirt as this may cause
cracking to occur.
Poly
Appliqué
Paper
Used to create a poly film
into cotton fabrics to make sublimation ready.
This paper is used for
transferring onto white/light colored 100% or 50/50 cotton poly substrates such
as T-shirts, mouse pads, puzzles.
Also works great with the
Alps printers and color lasers that use fuser oil.
Simply lay the Poly Appliqué
sheet with the colored line facing up onto the fabric substrate.
Heat into the fabric for 15
seconds at 375* F. / 190 C using medium to heavy pressure. Remove from heat and
PEEL immediately.
You are now ready to use any
sublimation paper with sublimation ink to place your image into the T-shirt.
Washing
Turn Garment inside out
before washing.
Machine wash warm or cold.
Mild color safe detergent.
(No Bleach)
Dry in dryer inside out on
cool or low setting.
If garment needs ironing, DO
NOT iron directly on the transfer.
Storage and Handling
For best results, condition
Poly Appliqué in your location for 12 to 24 hours before use.
Store in a cool, dry area and
do not remove from the plastic bag until you are ready to use.
This will help the quality of
the printed image, and will reduce copier/printer jam.
