Print Head release for newer generation printers
Epson C64/C66/C84/C86/C88/D88
Epson Stylus Photo R200, R220, R300,
R300M, R320, R340, R800, R1800, R2400

Unplug the printer, manually push the print head to the far right to
take up any residual end play, usually about 1/4". To the left of
the print head just directly under the lower belt is a white
irregular piece of plastic that protrudes about an 1/8" forward from
the back wall of the inside of the printer. If you have small ladies
fingers then reach in under the belt and push the plastic into the
back wall to release the print head. If you have lumberjack fingers
then use a pencil with an eraser and do the same. This will release
the print head allowing it to move from left to right.
