If you plan to go on a vacation for 1-2 weeks then it is recommended that you install a set of the OEM cartridges and run a cleaning cycle and nozzle check and be sure you get a perfect nozzle check. Turn the printer off. Place the printer out of direct sunlight and keep away from heating and cooling registers. If you are going away longer than 2 weeks or want to shelf the printer for an extended time period then it is recommended you purchase a set of cleaning cartridges and install them and run recommended cleaning cycles according to the cleaning cartridge instructions.
